Booking Rules and Legal Terms
Terms and Conditions
These Terms govern quotations, safari bookings, payments, travel changes, cancellations, and responsibilities for Brisami Tours and Travel services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By requesting a quote, confirming an itinerary, making a payment, or traveling on a Brisami itinerary, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. The lead traveler confirms they are authorized to accept these Terms on behalf of all travelers in the booking.
2. Booking Contract and Confirmation
A booking is considered confirmed only when all of the following are completed:
- we issue written booking confirmation;
- the required deposit or full payment is received;
- availability is secured with relevant suppliers.
If supplier space is unavailable at confirmation stage, we may propose alternatives with equivalent value where possible.
3. Pricing, Currency, and Inclusions
Quotes include only services expressly listed in your itinerary. Unless specifically stated, prices typically exclude:
- international flights;
- visa costs;
- personal insurance;
- optional activities;
- personal expenses;
- gratuities.
All quotations, invoices, and payments are issued and accepted in United States Dollars (USD) only, unless Brisami confirms otherwise in writing.
Pricing may be affected by supplier rate changes, taxes, government levies, fuel surcharges, and exchange-rate movements before final payment. Any adjustments will be communicated transparently.
4. Payment Terms
Payment schedules are shown on your quotation or invoice. Where no custom schedule is stated:
- a deposit secures booking arrangements;
- balance is due before travel start date as indicated on invoice;
- late payment may result in cancellation or release of reserved services.
Bank and transfer charges are the guest's responsibility unless agreed otherwise in writing.
5. Passports, Visas, Health, and Entry Compliance
Travelers are solely responsible for obtaining valid passports, visas, vaccination evidence, and any health or border documents required by destination authorities. Brisami may provide guidance but cannot guarantee entry decisions by immigration or border officials.
6. Fitness to Travel and Medical Disclosure
Safari and adventure itineraries may include long road transfers, remote locations, wildlife exposure, altitude, or physically demanding activities. Travelers must assess personal fitness and disclose material medical, dietary, mobility, or accessibility requirements at booking time.
7. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended and may be mandatory for certain activities or destinations. Insurance should cover, at minimum, trip cancellation, medical treatment, evacuation, personal liability, and loss or delay of luggage.
8. Changes by Traveler
Requests to change dates, names, routes, accommodations, or activities after confirmation are subject to operational feasibility and supplier rules. Additional costs, penalties, or fare differences may apply and must be paid before revised documents are issued.
9. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation requests must be made in writing by the lead traveler. Charges are based on notice period, supplier terms, and non-recoverable commitments already made on your behalf (for example permits, flights, and prepaid lodges).
Where applicable, refunds are processed after recovery from suppliers and may exclude non-refundable charges.
10. Changes by Brisami
Occasionally, itinerary updates may be required due to weather, safety events, road conditions, park authority instructions, supplier disruptions, or force majeure events. We will use reasonable efforts to provide suitable alternatives of comparable standard.
11. Supplier Responsibility and Liability Limits
Brisami acts as organizer and coordinator and works with independent suppliers such as lodges, airlines, transport providers, and activity operators. Those suppliers operate under their own terms and legal responsibilities.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Brisami is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, missed connections caused by third parties, or events outside our reasonable control.
12. Traveler Conduct and Safety Rules
Travelers must follow guide, ranger, camp, park, and transport safety instructions at all times. Behavior that threatens safety, legality, or operational continuity may result in removal from part or all of a trip without refund for unused services.
13. Photography and Marketing Use
Trip photos/videos shared with Brisami may be used for marketing only with permission. If you do not wish to appear in promotional media captured during group travel, please notify us in writing before departure.
14. Complaints and Dispute Handling
If an issue arises during travel, notify your guide or Brisami support immediately so we can attempt resolution in real time. Formal complaints should be submitted in writing within 14 days after trip completion, with booking reference and supporting details.
15. Governing Law and Updates
These Terms are governed by applicable laws of the operating jurisdiction stated in your booking documentation, unless mandatory law provides otherwise. We may revise these Terms from time to time, with updates published on this page.
